The London Furniture Show back on track in 2010

Insight Exhibitions is delighted to announce that the London Furniture Show will be launched in May 2010 at Excel. The show, which was originally planned for May 2009, was postponed late last year, further to discussions with its key exhibitors. At that time, with the recession gathering momentum, it was very difficult for the furniture industry to make any commitments whatsoever. Insight was very much aware of the difficulties its exhibitors were facing and made the decision to reschedule the show. However six months on there is light at the end of the ‘economic’ tunnel and the case for a London-centric show is as strong as ever.

David Wilkins, Managing Director, Insight Exhibitions says:

“Having maintained contact with my principle exhibitors, the consensus of opinion is that the industry needs a focus and a rallying point. Also, although we may have to allow a little more time for those predicted ‘green shoots of recovery’ to take effect, we have to adopt an optimistic approach as well as to prepare for a more favourable economic climate. The London Furniture Show’s timing and philosophy makes it the perfect conduit for all of this.”

The London Furniture Show remains a design-led show with a difference. It will provide a unique mix of medium, high-end and luxury furniture and furnishing accessories, all under one roof. It will be affordable with extremely competitive rates for exhibitors supported by a commitment to provide ‘second to none’ customer service.

The Show will be held at Excel as it is ideally sited on the outskirts of London making access for exhibitors and visitors alike simple and stress free. It also offers all the amenities anyone could wish for inside and out and is only 20 minutes from the heart of London.

There will be some rather nice additional initiatives such as providing a luxurious VIP lounge for exhibitors’ special guests as well as a chauffer service to and from London mainline stations and London City Airport! The London Furniture Show will also be substantially supported and promoted through advertising and PR.
